My son Neo has been able to stand on a board since he was 2 years old. Since then, he has been an avid child and is now a boy who is crazy about water sports.<br \/> <br \/>\nSurfing has not only brought him moments of fun. It has also taught him to be consistent and disciplined.<br \/> <br \/>\nThrough my experience with my own son and also through teaching other children, I have seen the positive effects of surfing on them. Good Times!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"beach\">Kids surfing from a mother&#8217;s perspective<\/h2>\n<p>Surfing, like any other sport, is excellent for keeping children away from spending long hours on a phone, tablet, or computer.<br \/>\nI started teaching my son to surf in what we call \u201cthe foam,\u201d the small waves that form at the shore. But not before he learned to swim in a pool. I always stayed close by and took all safety precautions.<br \/> <br \/>\nPhysical exercise has proven to be so important for emotional and physical health.<br \/>\nAs a mother, I have seen my boy grow up healthy and very mature.<br \/> <br \/>\nConfidence and self-esteem are positive results of playing sports regularly. Go surfing together.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"surro\">Surfing for children as an instructor<\/h2>\n<p>I have given many surfing lessons to girls and boys in Santa Teresa. There is always a little nervousness, but also a lot of enthusiasm.<br \/>\nOne of the first things I notice is that they enjoy falling more than adults do.<br \/> <br \/>\nThey grab the board immediately, shake the salt water out of their noses, and return to the waves. For them, a fall is a challenge to overcome, until they manage to get the board to shore.<br \/> <br \/>\nDuring the lesson, you can see how their confidence grows. Surfing can help them develop their social skills while having fun.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"route\">Advantages of surfing over other sports for kids<\/h2>\n<p>Surfing is a sport that can be practiced without having to belong to a team. The first opponent to overcome is oneself. This is achieved through discipline and perseverance.<br \/> <br \/>\nLater on, the child can participate in a team and thus develop social skills with people who share their hobby.<br \/>\nIn addition, with proper care, a surfboard could last longer than a soccer ball. However, if you buy a child a board that is the right size for them, you will probably have to replace it as they grow.<br \/> <br \/>\nCombining sport with the beach is another advantage. The sea always attracts us humans, especially children.
